In addition to spreading straw for mulching strawberries and soil erosion control, the 5050 is designed to bed down loose housing and dispense Hay / Silage for feeding
The robust chopping rotor shreds material from round or rectangular bales and delivers a steady feed to either side of the machine.

Chutes on left and right hand sides can be open or shut independently. Lower left hand chute is optional for multi-rotor models. Various chutes are available for special applications. See Options.
The 5050 is fitted with a rotor suitable for processing straw for bedding loose housing (does not chop short), feeding silage & root crops.
Long drum (See XL specification) enables a complete large rectangular bale up to 4' x 4' x 8' to be loaded, and for improved material containment..
Select the mill rotor (T505M model) for precision processing of bales of dry material (<20% moisture).
All models in the Tomahawk 500 series are now compatible with both Cat. II and Cat. III tractor linkages.
PTO is supplied as standard with friction clutch overload protection. Tractor PTO speed is 1000rpm. Optional 21 spline version available.
A wide angle PTO is available for high use operators, with friction clutch overload protection. Optional 8 or 21 spline versions available.
A brush seal kit ensure straw stays in the machine.
The liquid spray kit can be fitted to any model in the 400 - 500 Tomahawk range to reduce dust from milled straw, or to enable the application of anti-bacterial products to bedding.

For fine control of the drum rotation speed and output, a hydraulic flow divider is available for the T505M.
